Team Building and Collaboration
Sometimes dealing with groups is very difficult and other times it is a pure delight. Friendships are built and professional relationships established. Some of these aspects make it hard to say good-bye. I think the hardest teams to leave are the ones with clearly established norms. I think when you establish a routine with a group of people and you work together towards a common goal it is difficult to adjourn. Some of the closing rituals I have participated in were certificate or celebration ceremonies. Some closing rituals have been dinner out. I have no idea how we will adjourn from the colleagues I have worked with in this program. I guess a lot of well-wishing will take place. It would be cool if a group skype could be done.

Johan,
ReplyDeleteA group skype would be a great way to adjourn. Some of us have been together for awhile now and it would be a nice closure. I agree those groups where established norms are present and clearly articulated goals are the hardest to leave.
Johan,
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to use skype, but would love to learn. Like the blog which overwhelmed me at first, I would force myself to learn how to do it. I wouldn't want to miss out on the group meeting.
Johan,
ReplyDeleteI also believe it will be hard to adjourn from our fellow colleagues because we have been communicating with one another for over a year now. I believe skype could be a good away or even some sort of forum were we can all go and brainstorm with one another about various topics.
Johan,
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your future! Thank you for your input and feedback throughout the course. Please keep in touch chantrelljones@yahoo.com
